Tony & Ziva Return in Explosive First Trailer as 'NCIS' duo fights for daughter Tali

There’s a line in the new Tony & Ziva trailer where Ziva deadpans, “I’ve levelled up a bit,” while casually revealing a stash of grenades.
That pretty much sums up the tone of this long-awaited NCIS spinoff: part family drama, part action comedy, and all high-stakes chaos—starring a duo that never quite stopped sparking.
Ziva + Tony + Tali = Trouble (With a Side of Gunpowder)
Fans finally get a first real look at NCIS: Tony & Ziva, the Paramount+ reunion series bringing back Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo as the fan-favorite duo known worldwide as Tiva.
The setup is deceptively peaceful: Tony and Ziva live in Paris, co-parenting their 12-year-old daughter Tali (played by Isla Gie), running a private security firm, and, according to Tony, enjoying life with “the best safehouse roomie” he could ask for.

But then Tali becomes a target. An attempted kidnapping in broad daylight blows their quiet life apart and pulls them right back into the world they once escaped.
Ziva responds by cracking open her hidden weapons vault. Tony responds by cracking jokes.
Some things don’t change.
Not Quite a Couple. Still 100% Tiva.
If you’re hoping for a neatly defined romance, well—Ziva describes their relationship as: “On again, maybe again, kind of again, and where we are now.”
It’s messy. It’s intimate. And it’s still undeniably them.
That candlelight dinner? Real. That breathless moment after dodging bullets? Also real. Whether they’re ducking gunfire or trying to parent a middle-schooler, there’s a rhythm to Tony and Ziva that never really left.
Action, Sass, and European Backdrops
The trailer doesn’t hold back: there are car chases, explosions, and classic Tony banter. (“A lot of shooting, a lot of pointless death—does that sound good to anybody?” he quips mid-standoff.)
Lara Rossi joins the cast as Sophie, a British nanny with SAS training, whose job is to protect Tali. But even with a tactical babysitter, this family’s past won’t leave them alone.
They’re not just raising a daughter. They’re running from ghosts.
When Can Fans Watch?
NCIS: Tony & Ziva is set to premiere on Paramount+ this fall. The official release date hasn’t been confirmed yet—but CBS will air the trailer during the NCIS Season 21 finale on May 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Until then, fans will just have to rewatch the trailer and wonder: Are Tony and Ziva finally ready to stop running?
Or is this just the beginning?
