On NCIS, Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham), Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) had to be reassigned. This is all because Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) was taken out of action, but why?

In NCIS season 18 , episode 10, when Agent Gibbs ( Mark Harmon ) took Lucy, an injured pitbull to the vets, they said this was the third dog to have been shot. However, what they discovered was even more disturbing.

NCIS took a look at the woods where Lucy was found to see if they could get any leads on what happened. They came across a house where an old woman lived, who told them about a man who parked her trailer next to her pond.

However, Gibbs was stunned when he saw several drowned pit bulls tied to a rope that had been submerged in the pond. The man responsible, Luke Stana, was involved in a dog fighting ring and when the animals were no longer of any use to him, he would kill them.

Gibbs saw Stana and went over to confront him about what he had been doing. After being overwhelmed by what he had just seen, Gibbs began attacking the animal abuser on NCIS .

The veteran agent knocked Stana to the ground and began to choke him until Bishop ( Emily Wickersham ), McGee ( Sean Murray ) and Torres ( Wilmer Valderrama ) managed to get him out.

Anyone would have been tempted to seriously hurt Stana, but unfortunately, for this unprofessional move on Gibbs's part he was suspended on NCIS .

Inspector General Coyle ( Hugo Armstrong ) showed up to take Gibbs away for his actions, but after explaining himself, Coyle, who has two rescue dogs of his own, decided against it.

Instead, he let Vance come up with the punishment for Gibbs. Unfortunately, this meant he was suspended at the end of the NCIS episode , forcing him to turn in his gun and his badge.
