It’s Official! Heartland Season 19 Has Wrapped—Here’s When Amy Returns

CBC confirms Heartland’s 19th season is set to premiere on October 5, 2025 — here’s everything we know so far.

If you’ve been eagerly waiting for news on the Bartlett-Fleming family, it’s time to celebrate. The cameras have stopped rolling, the horses are back in the stable, and we finally have a concrete date for the return of Heartland.

Season 19 is officially a go, and frankly, October can’t get here fast enough.

Here is everything we know about the premiere, the cast, and what’s next for Amy.

Mark Your Calendars: The Premiere Date

CBC has ended the speculation! Sunday, October 5, 2025, is the big day. The show will return to its usual home on CBC and CBC Gem.

It’s been a long wait since the renewal earlier this year, but with filming kicking off back in May and officially wrapping just recently, the countdown is finally real.

“That’s a Wrap!

The official Heartland Instagram gave us all the feels recently when they confirmed production had finished. They posted a sweet behind-the-scenes tribute that perfectly sums up why we love this show:

“That’s a wrap on Season 19! 🎬 From long days on set to unforgettable moments behind the scenes, we’re so grateful to our cast, crew, and fans who continue to make Heartland feel like home.”

Knowing the cast is done filming means the episodes are now in the editing room, getting polished up for our screens.

What Can We Expect in Season 19?

As usual, CBC is keeping the major plot twists under lock and key, but if you’ve been watching the trailers and following the cast, we can make some pretty good guesses.

  • Amy & Nathan: This is the big one. We’re expecting Amy to really dive into this new chapter of her life. The dynamic with Nathan is likely going to heat up (or at least get more complicated) as she balances romance with being a mom and a horse trainer.
  • The 10-Episode Format: Like recent years, we are getting a tighter, 10-episode season. While we all miss the longer seasons, this shorter format usually means better pacing and higher stakes for the Bartlett-Fleming clan.
  • Surprise Returns? There have been rumblings and teases from the crew about some familiar faces popping up. We don’t know who yet, but Heartland loves a good reunion.

How to Watch (Canada vs. The US)

Okay, here is the tricky part for our international Heartland family.

🇨🇦 If you are in Canada: You’re all set for the October 5, 2025 premiere on CBC and CBC Gem.

🇺🇸 If you are in the US: You know the drill by now, but it still stings. The new season typically lands on UP Faith & Family a few months after it finishes airing in Canada. We are likely looking at a late 2026 or early 2027 release stateside.

In the meantime, you can binge Seasons 1–16 on Netflix, or check out Peacock, Tubi, and The Roku Channel to get your fix.

I just read what you stated above the Reply section. It is a feel good show and the episodes are always taking on many situations that happen in real life. I love all the horse related action in Heartland from racing, jumping and behavior and health problems. Amber, you are a very good actress and your part as Amy is one that never boasts-you do what you do for the good of the horses. There is such a kindness that is shown throughout and it feels so real. I binged watched six episodes today that I had taped.
